Introduction

Welcome to Muse, a productivity app designed to help users manage tasks, schedule events, and sync Gmail accounts for email management within organizations. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Muse ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Muse, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our app.

Eligibility and Account Creation

To use Muse, you must be at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You may create an account using your email address. If you join an organization, you may need an invitation from an Admin user. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Use of Muse Services

Muse provides the following features for individual and team productivity:

  • Task Management: Create, edit, archive, and delete tasks within your organization. Assign priorities, due dates, and track progress.
  • Calendar Events: Schedule events, set reminders, and manage your calendar within Muse.
  • Gmail Synchronization: Sync your Gmail account to view, send, and organize emails, as well as manage contacts, directly within Muse.
  • Organization Management: Join or create organizations to collaborate with team members. Admins can manage user roles and permissions.

You agree to use Muse only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Prohibited activities include attempting to access another user’s data, using Muse for illegal purposes, or sharing your account credentials with others.

Gmail Synchronization and Permissions

Muse allows you to sync your Gmail account with your explicit consent. By granting access, you permit Muse to:

  • Access your emails to display and manage them within the app.
  • Send emails on your behalf when you compose and send messages.
  • Access your contacts to simplify email composition and referrals.
  • Modify email settings (e.g., apply labels or filters) to enhance organization.

Your email data is private and accessible only to you. You can revoke Muse’s access to your Gmail account at any time through your Google account settings. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

User Responsibilities

As a Muse user, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating an account or joining an organization.
  • Use Muse in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Not attempt to access or manipulate another user’s data, including emails, tasks, or events.
  • Not use Muse to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Muse, including its design, code, and branding, are the intellectual property of Muse and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of Muse without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

Muse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access, or service interruptions. In no event shall our liability exceed the amount you paid to use Muse, if any.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Muse at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm the app or its users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data, including synced emails, will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.
